As I have mentioned before, my cell phone is being blown up by the Church of Scientology. I have been getting calls from them now since April. I have to Google the numbers to find out who it is because out of all the calls and numbers appearing on the phone,only four left messages and a name. Granted, trying to find "David" out of a gazillion Scientologists is like finding a specific flea on a camel but, that is what I am dealing with.
I have told them that they had a wrong number. My wife has called and given them her cell phone number and it hasn't done any good. I am posting these numbers to show you what I am talking about. I have it on NO RING so truthfully I guess they can keep this up forever. It's just a good example though of why I think they are all a bunch of fanatic freakazoids.
If you have any ideas about how to shut them down without my having to change a phone I've had for over three years, let me know. I'll be glad to listen.

My wife has called to let them know that she had changed her cell phone
number,gave them her new number and asked them to remove the old number since

Sounds like harassment to me. The next time they call you, let them know that you will be filing harassment charges against them. If they continue to call you, make a police report. Let the officer know that you feel you're being stalked and harassed. Make sure they write a report! Document, document, document! Everything.
The next time they call, ask to speak to who is ever in charge. Explain to them you filed a report with the police for harassment and stalking. If they continue to call you, you will take them to court.
Also, I'm pretty sure the media would like to know that Tom Cruise's favorite cult is stalking and harassing people. ;-)

Seriously though -- there HAS to be someplace that you can complain to.... they are costing you money in cell charges! Unless you have unlimited but still it's the principle of the thing!
Rain: I am going to take your advice and do just that. Most of the time I don't answer their calls because it is on no ring and I don't know they're calling until I get the tone saying I missed a call. But, I'll try. I did call the last two numbers back and they are to a main switch board and I don't have an extension number to press...how conveinient. I've tried to be patient since Lori is like Tom Cruise so in her mind, I am basically acting "hostile" against her. I have been documenting everything though as you can see. If I knew who their attorney was, I'd send him a letter.

Tina: I have unlimited INCOMING with free nights and weekends. I only have 250 text messages a month though, so you might want to remember that last part. LOL
They've been calling me, too.
A few minutes ago, when they called, for the first time I picked it up, and I answered, "Livermore Church of Scientology."
There was a bit of a pause before a confused male voice said, "Sorry, who have I called?"
I hung up.
Call the media relations person and tell thme they will be getting negative press unless they take stop it.

Since I posted on this, I continued to receive calls up until the last week or so in June and then only once since the first of July. Not sure why but, I'm not one to lick a gift horse in the mouth. I'm keeping my list however, just in case.
I have a past history with the church of scientology… and this is part of what angers me about this "church" It makes all the good parts fade away by the horrendous harassment's, and it doesn't matter if you change your phone number they will just EVENTUALLY call the new number… even if it's unlisted… I have written to various offices to have my name removed… doesn't matter… worse than trying to reason with the 7th day adventist!
I can honestly say that I have spoken to an attorney and taken steps so, if they continue, which so far they have stopped, I plan on suing them. As for getting an unlisted number, I hardly doubt they can do that considering NO ONE I know would ever give it to them so it would have to be an illegal means by which they got it. Either way, they will be sued and I would make sure it is in the newspaper in bold letters. I have come to truly hate them.
One of these numbers has just started calling me. I have told them twice not to call. Hopefully there are no further calls. I don't want to be bothered by them.
